What counts as a compilation?
Each API call to /compile/sync or /compile/async counts as one compilation, regardless of document size, page count, or which engine you use. A 1-page letter and a 500-page thesis both consume one compilation. Browser editor compilations (via the playground) also count against your monthly quota.

Overage pricing
Pro users who exceed 500 compilations in a given month can purchase additional compilation bundles directly from the dashboard. Bundles are available in increments of 500 compilations and are applied immediately to the current billing period. Enterprise customers receive custom volume pricing and never hit hard limits.
